Preface/Epilogue/Whatever you wanna call it

I started this blog about my twenties two year a little too late, considering I'm turning 22 this year, and so I thought that instead of writing my first blog entry on my entire life since birth which I'm sure would be boring as hell, I start it with an introduction about myself.
Left photo was taken during my Junior Term in Australia at 160 lbs.
Right photo was taken at F1 Hotel with my friends at 120 lbs.
Let me start off with this photo. 2013 was a life changing year for me since I was finally able to shed those stubborn pounds that I gained from stopping all physical activities (except eating). Sad to say, no instant magic was involved in this transformation but I got help from Cohen Lifestyle Center

After saying good riddance to those pounds and welcomed back my lost confidence,  I discovered a new lifestyle that I have to maintain until...well, forever?

So now I live a healthier lifestyle. I try to be mindful of the food that I consume and stay away from those that I identified as the culprits to my weight gain such as rice, potato, chocolates and cakes, which are more commonly known as your sweets and carbs.

Sorry fries, I just had to break up with you since you decrease the value of my stocks (a.k.a my figure).

After the program, I eat like I'm still on a diet during the weekdays, having yoghurt for breakfast and munching on lean proteins such as grilled chicken, beef or fish with a side of veggies for lunch and dinner, and satisfying my foodie tendencies during the weekend! Plus, I'm back with living an active lifestyle by adding exercise in my daily regime in which I make sure that I workout six times a week.

It's been a year since my Cohen journey ended and yes, I did gain back some of the pounds (so much for good riddance forever) but I'm still happy because I still get to fit into the new clothes I bought and so long as I am aware of what needs to be done to prevent myself from ever becoming overweight (Conscious eating plus self control), I believe that I am capable of losing those pounds and be in control of my figure (mind over matter!)

Taken last June 2014 at 135 lbs.
This is the the current me: Kristen Juliane Te Lim, a 22 year old fresh graduate from Ateneo de Manila University who recently quit her job as a management trainee and is currently on the hunt for the job that will make me happy.

Yep, I'm at my happiest when I'm eating or getting excited about food (not just any food but GOOD food).
I'm a self confessed foodie (hence the constant battle with my weight) and a gym rat (I like to consider myself as an athletic person with an athletic physique) who enjoys meeting new people, going on food trips and going on different adventures.

Love this meme because it's the Story of my life!
So enough with the introductions and hope that you guys enjoy my blog postings and find my humour amusing although I do tend to be corny (said my friends)

I'd like to end my first blog entry with this photo:

I'm not saying that everyone should go out and become a rebel. However, too much obedience could lead to a boring life and I want to live a life full of memorable adventures and moments and so with this post, I'm making a vow to live my twenties without any regret in whatever I do: be it calories consumed, words said or decisions made.

As what Katy Perry (2010) said, "No regrets, just love"

Until my next blog entry! Chow (Ciao) for now xoxo
